Here at Inhabitat, we love seeing artists transform recycled materials into larger-than-life sculptures, which is why we popped over to Governors Island to check out Governor’s Cup, a giant recycled-cup sculpture. The winner of the 4th City of Dreams Pavilion Competition, this massive installation was constructed and unveiled at FIGMENT, an annual Governors Island arts event. The serpentine plastic canopy was constructed with over 25,000 recycled cups and is held together with nearly a million zip ties. Click through to see more pictures of this amazing sculpture!
