Hi,
This page is currently being developed. This page checks Sustainability Blogs and RSS News Feeds for new content and posts it to here each day. The aim is to share information related to sustainability which is relevant to people living in Central Victoria while also providing a channel for international sustainability information. I am just discovering the Internets information sharing potential. I'd like to help other not so tech savvy people learn how to find interesting and new Sustainability info. Please tell me your favorite blogs or news sources and I will add them to the list.
Thanks

An Old, Battered Calgary Garage is Transformed into a Greenhouse

Last autumn, a Calgary couple decided that their 1959 cinder block garage either had to go, or they had to put a new roof on it. The roofer quotes were insane, so instead of building a new garage, they decided to cover it with a corrugated polycarbonate transparent panel to transform it into a greenhouse. Suntuf was chosen because it’s guaranteed to withstand serious hail… and who ever said that roofs have to be opaque? They peeled off the old tar and rotten plywood, kept the preserved beams, added some purlins, and the polycarbonate panels went up in a single weekend. Fast forward to spring: The warm, light-filled garage was ideal for jumpstarting the short Canadian growing season with seeds and seedlings. Now it’s the full height of summer, and the mosquito-free greenhouse is full of tomato, cucumber, pepper, and basil plants; an ideal place for hanging out in with friends and cool beverages.
