Hi,
This page is currently being developed. This page checks Sustainability Blogs and RSS News Feeds for new content and posts it to here each day. The aim is to share information related to sustainability which is relevant to people living in Central Victoria while also providing a channel for international sustainability information. I am just discovering the Internets information sharing potential. I'd like to help other not so tech savvy people learn how to find interesting and new Sustainability info. Please tell me your favorite blogs or news sources and I will add them to the list.
Thanks

Beautiful A Glacier Adrift Hand Soaps Call Attention to Climate Change

Designer William Lee and Young Stellar Object have created A Glacier Adrift, a set of beautifully hand-crafted soap that calls attention to the dire threat of climate change. Inspired by the massive bodies of melting glaciers & icebergs in the Arctic, the soap is shaped like an angular piece of ice that gradually dissolves with use. The “melting” hand soaps provide a daily visual reminder that our actions have irreversible effects on the environment. “When you hold it, it looks & feels like a precious jewel,” says Lee. “It’s something you want to guard, something you want to protect. Delicate yet designed to be used, designed to be washed and dissolved away. One day that glacier will be gone. If we take a step back, the broader message here is to simply use less. We rely on the planet’s resources for our own gain and easily forget about the consequences.” The iceberg-shaped soaps can be purchased in Young Stellar Object’s shop.
