Every year, Sydney is transformed into a psychedelic show of lights, music, and ideas for the public arts event Vivid Sydney. Design team amigo & amigo created this year’s most popular structure: Ray, Vivid Sydney’s first fully interactive, solar-powered light installation that “talks” to the crowds via social media. Programmed with a personality, visitors interact with the colorful toronado-like light sculpture by pulling on loose ropes to “throw” colored light onto Ray. You can learn more about their design process from concept to execution in this Pollinate Energy video.
