A giant 40MW wind turbine with a blade span diameter of 600 feet is to be erected in Hamburg, Germany. The turbine, dubbed “Reisemill,” which means “giant mill” in German, will generate enough electricity to power 13,333 homes. The 1,000-foot tall turbine will be big enough to house living quarters for the maintenance personnel.
