The UK’s poop-powered bus has set a speed record for a regular service bus with a top speed of 76.8 miles per hour (123.5kph). Dubbed the ‘Bus Hound’, a tongue-in-cheek homage to supersonic Bloodhound SSC, is powered by biomethane derived from cow manure. Operated by Reading Buses, it was decorated with a black and white skin, reminiscent of the Friesian cows used for milk production around Britain and it is said to sound like a Vulcan bomber.
