Barclays Center to Be Topped with 130,000-Square-Foot Green Roof

Brooklyn’s Barclays Center has announced that it will be topping off its already impressive environmental achievements with a 130,000-square-foot green roof. Designed by SHoP Architects, the new planted roof will provide an aesthetically pleasing view for those living in the soon-to-be-completed apartments above, but will also soak up rainwater and dampen noise during concerts and sporting events.
