If you’re loony about lunar events, you’ll be excited to hear that there’s a blood moon rising tonight – or early Wednesday morning to be exact. Blood moons are caused by light reflecting off the Earth’s surface during a full moon eclipse – and the one taking place in the wee hours of Wednesday morning is the second of four eclipses happening this year. According to NPR, the eclipse will be visible across North America – but will be seen best by those in the central and western parts of the continent.
