Artists and scholars from around the world will convene in Reno, Nevada this weekend for the 2014 Art + Environment Conference, which is hosted by the Nevada Museum of Art. Conference attendees will explore artistic responses to some of the world’s most pressing issues, including climate change, resource extraction, and species extinction. The central thrust of the conference will be on how art and science can work in tandem to provide solutions to these problems. Some of the artists whose work will be on display include Lita Albuquerque, David Brooks, Petah Coyne, Terry Evans, and Ugo Rondinone. The conference runs from October 9–11 at the Nevada Museum of Art, and Inhabitat will be reporting live from the event – stay tuned for our coverage!
