India to Install 2,200 Solar-Powered Cell Phone Towers in Response to Extremism – EDITS REQUESTED

The Indian government just launched a plan to use solar-powered cell phone towers in response to left-wing extremism in the central belt of the country. The central government approved the ambitious project, and it will be erecting as many as 2,200 solar-powered mobile communication towers in the states of Jharkhand, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh.
