Design firm SHIFT_DESIGN recently installed a beautiful living wall for Urban Outfitters’ headquarters at the Philadelphia Navy Wall. The vertical garden is the latest collaboration between SHIFT_DESIGN and URBN—in 2013, the design firm installed a unique tile-based green roof system on the same building. Both the living wall and the green roof are made from locally sourced materials and help collect and filter stormwater runoff. SHIFT_DESIGN is currently working on a project for the National Parks Service and The Philadelphia Water Department to install a living wall with stormwater management capabilities in Center City.
