IKEA recalls 27 million dressers and chests following child deaths

Swedish furniture giant IKEA has issued a massive recall for 27 million dressers and chests after two children were crushed to death by MALM dressers in separate incidents. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, any owners of IKEA’s “children’s chests and dressers taller than 23 ½ inches and adult chests and dressers taller than 29 ½ inches” should immediately stop using the items unless they are securely attached to the wall to prevent them from tipping over.
