Foster + Partners has debuted the design for “The One” in downtown Toronto, which will be an 80-story mixed-use tower located at One Bloor West. The building will feature nine levels of retail space and an impressive atrium, in addition to many floors of luxury apartment living. The project challenges other skyscrapers recently built in the neighborhood, including the building across the street at One Bloor East, which measures 257 meters (843 feet) in height. Permits applications indicate the plan for a 318-meter (1043-foot) tall building so, upon its completion, The One will be Toronto’s second tallest building, after the CN Tower.
