Dutch designer Sander Bakker designed Blom, a delicate lamp design with a recyclable, high-density polyethylene lampshade. Inspired by the process of flower growth, the table lamp design consists of white petal-like parts that rests atop three reconstituted veneer wooden legs. After an incredibly successful Kickstarter run, the lamp is now available for purchase on SplinterSeed. A cloth-covered cord connected to a modernist Rompitratta switch offers a “splash of color” to the lamp. To reduce the shipping size, the end user assembles Blom by hand, without the need for extra tools.
