Danish designer Johanna Riedl created a chair that redefines waste minimization-the seat and backrest of her Saw Dust Chair are made from sawdust generated while making the chair frame. The dust is collected and put into bags that can be vacuumed to create a stiff and comfortable seating element. Riedl’s brilliant chair forms part of the Morphology program established by the Royal Danish Academy Schools of Architecture and Design, and was one of several student projects featured at this year’s Milan Design Week.
