Claustrophobia-Inducing Photos Show People Living in Chinatown’s Illegal 64 sq. ft. Apartments

The photo above may look like something from an exposé about cramped living quarters in Asia, but was actually taken right in New York’s Chinatown. Photographer Annie Ling brought her camera into 81 Bowery, a building where Chinese immigrant laborers were being housed in 64-square-foot cubicles, to capture the claustrophobic living conditions.
