Looking to bring a splash of green into your tiny city apartment? Check out Cella, a new, creative product designed by firm Ecoid that aims to bring urban people closer to nature. Constructed of flexible, lightweight plastic to house moss and small plants, each modular pod creates a microclimate that allows plants to thrive both indoors and outdoors. Cella is uniquely adaptable in that it can be attached to walls and roofs, massed together to create a carpet, or simply stand alone. This portable, self-contained habitat also comes in different sizes and can be linked with other units, giving the user flexibility to be creative with their Cella designs. Excessive packaging is one of our top pet peeves here at Inhabitat, so we were really inspired by this flat cardboard sheet that is capable of conforming to the shape of any object, saving a bundle on wasteful filler. Designed by Patrick Sung, the packaging design concept features triangulated perforations that allow it to bend around odd forms. This could also save on fuel for shipping, since all of that wasted box filler is eliminated.

To achieve the perfect egg, chefs and amateur cooks often labor with spatulas, forks, whisks and a host of other utensils. So inventor Geraint Krumpe of Y Line Product Design envisioned a much simpler, faster way to create a stress-free scramble with the Golden Goose. The hand-powered gadget uses centrifugal force to mix the contents of the egg inside the shell without introducing outside air. Once suitably jostled, the egg is ready to be boiled, or dropped into a pan.
