Egypt’s National Cancer Institute (NCI) has unveiled plans for their new medical campus outside Cairo, designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM). The nine-million-square-foot campus design comprises a system of functional modules separated by landscaped courtyards and connected by visitor and staff circulation areas. The complex, expected to break ground by the end of 2015, is targeting LEED Gold.
