Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA) has unveiled preliminary details for what is being billed as the world’s largest airport passenger terminal, to be located in Beijing’s southern Daxing District. Designed in collaboration with airport specialists ADP Ingeniérie (ADPI), the Beijing New Airport Terminal Building will initially accommodate 45 million passengers per year and “will be adaptable and sustainable, operating in many different configurations dependent on varying aircraft and passenger traffic throughout each day,” states ZHA.
