Lots of people carry around sewing kits and stain-removal pens for those on-the-go clothing emergencies, but how about a 3D printer that could actually mend rips or damage right on the spot? The Fabric Pen is a tiny little 3D printer that fits in a purse or backpack that allows you to scan your clothing and print out new patches of the same fabric wherever you happen to be. The “print” from the pen, part of the Electrolux Design Lab 2014, actually attaches itself to loose threads and blends right it, turning a fashion mishap into a mere memory.
