After nearly 5,000 miles of railway track was abandoned in Mexico and Ecuador nearly 20 years ago, communities were left isolated without easy access to the world outside. Two artists wanted to re-open the pathways and travel into these “modern ruins” – places left behind for political and economic reasons – so they created an amazing aluminum hybrid that cruises the abandoned railways (and roadways) with ease. It’s like a futuristic time traveler that let’s riders visit communities essentially left in the past.
