We love the concept behind flat-pack furniture, but are sometimes let down by poor build quality or difficult assembly. Brooklyn-based designers EcoSystems understands this frustration, which is why they’ve developed Modos, a modular and tool-free furniture system that uses connectors and boards to build everything from a standing desk to a bookshelf. The strong and durable wooden boards are made from sustainably harvested, FSC certified furniture grade plywood; the connectors, which friction fit with the boards, are made of aluminum. If you want to get your hands on an easy-to-assemble Modos Y-stool or desk, you can purchase Modos and pledge your support on EcoSystems’ Kickstarter.
