Design of National 9/11 Museum Weaves a Path Through the History of Ground Zero

After a tumultuous journey filled with all kinds of obstacles, the National 9/11 Memorial and Museum finally opened its doors to the public on Wednesday. Designed by Davis Brody Bond, the cavernous underground space is organized around a central “Ribbon,” which leads visitors through the tragic events of September 11th as well as the city’s recovery since then.
