Swoon, a Brooklyn artist famous for her use of recycled materials, has just unveiled her newest exhibit: Submerged Motherlands. Inspired by Superstorm Sandy, this sprawling and immersive art installation calls attention to the consequences of climate challenge on the environment and everyday people. Located in the Brooklyn Museum, this site-specific installation mixes salvaged art with Swoon’s signature life-size figure drawings.
