Hi,
This page is currently being developed. This page checks Sustainability Blogs and RSS News Feeds for new content and posts it to here each day. The aim is to share information related to sustainability which is relevant to people living in Central Victoria while also providing a channel for international sustainability information. I am just discovering the Internets information sharing potential. I'd like to help other not so tech savvy people learn how to find interesting and new Sustainability info. Please tell me your favorite blogs or news sources and I will add them to the list.
Thanks

Korean Scientists Recycle Cigarette Butts into High Performance Supercapacitors

green design, eco design, sustainable design, cigarette filters, carbon nanotubes, cigarette supercapacitors

There’s no butts about it- scientists in South Korea may have conceived the most innovative use for smoked cigarette filters yet — high performing supercapacitors. Researchers from Seoul National University found a way to transform the nasty butts that litter sidewalks all over the world into a usable material comparable to graphene or carbon nanotubes. If the process is perfected, the disposed filters could store energy in electrical charges, not only cleaning up the streets but also acting more effectively than their graphene counterparts.
